At what point do you call or email somewhere you've applied to inquire about the status of your application so show interest?

My uncle went to go auction off some art he had and mentioned I had experience in the field and a degree to someone there, to which the person said they desperately needed help, and wrote down her email for my uncle to give to me. I sent her an email with my CV and resume last Thursday and haven't heard anything so I'm getting nervous.
