hello friends,
i’ve seen a lot of general support for xmr and i was wondering why you chose to invest in it.

I use bitcoin as a store-of-value and for large transactions, I prefer XMR as everyday spending cash because it's private by default so the merchant can't see what's in my wallet and the state security apparatus can't track my purchases. Privacy is for free men.

Well "everyday spending" as far as cryptocurrencies go. Online merchants who accept BTC/ETH/LTC often accept XMR as well. If they offer the former and not the latter I inquire about it.

For the sake of diversifying my portfolio. XMR is less volatile than other alts, but more volatile than BTC.

Because its massively undervalued at $60-$70. Thats like 10% of its price 2 years ago. I doubt it will go lower and if it does id buy more.

Bitcoin isn't a store of value. That would need it to not deviate in price more than 1% in a month. Its also no longer a very good P2P money system. Its so fucking useless.

Depends on your goals.
It can be an impossible to seize store of value, if you commit your wallet seed to memory.
This is something that does not exist otherwise.

The argument from those guys is that Monero is too volatile to hold but that seems like a weak argument when bitcoin isn't exactly the most stable value in the world either. Privacy comes at a cost.

I'm sorry, you must have confused this for a Zcash thread.
