Alpha and Omega of the FAANG stocks reports earnings after hours

Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Also, I highly recommend just immersing yourself in a number of good podcasts in whatever topic you like in life, not just trading. Every second you get that you are idling, have a podcast on, on your bluetooth speaker in the house while cooking or showering, in your headphones while on the train or walking the dog. Just always be constantly be sucking in new knowledge and learning, don't waste minutes doing idle tasks when you could be multitasking and learning simultaneously. Plus, you'll have so much new knowledge, you can spread this around by teaching others and making new conversations about events and topics that not a lot of people are keen on.

Also if you read today official TSLA 10Q or K or whatever was it, you could see Peelon literally lied on robotaxi presentation using 11y multiplier instead of 8 like official doc does. So that's a 3 year difference on vehicle profitability , that's how desperate he is.

As to PFE sceptic guy from prev thread don't be lazy and check BMY earnings. It says there directly they have joint product with Pfeizer iirc.

well, let me adjust my statement

I don't see any real damage to Alphabet's value from this report.

But looking at the chart, the market could decide to push GOOGL down, we could see an eventual 1160 or so. Or, it could recover to 1250+ during AH.

If I had GOOGL shares, I would hold. If I see an opening, depending on QQQ value, I might look to buy

I think the fall under 1250 is because GOOGL was overbought, people were so horny for it.
Now, it might keep falling under 1220 down through 1200 just because people have decided that now it's going to go down

I'd rather buy a basket of dividend growers that is weighted towards lower yields, so that there is more growth opportunity. Dividend aristocrats are about having the best parts of value and growth

Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, (almost) unrestricted internet and decentralized governance (democracy) are Hong Kong's most powerful weapons against China. And the Chinese government knows this. The Chinese government will do everything they can to limit these things leading up to 2047.

Don't think that China will play nice and let Hong Kong remain free long term unless they are completely forced to do it. I think most people in Hong Kong underestimate just how much the Chinese government wants to unify China and Hong Kong and how far they are willing to go to make it happen.

It's not in China's interest to "squash" HK (yet). It's ironic that all the regulation and barriers to entry in mainland China are a big part of the reason why HK is so free. The freer the economy of mainland China gets the more likely it is that China will try to "squash" HK.

I except the shares to continue trending upwards for at least another year and for Ontario based companies to perform well. Since it would easier and cheaper to ship to the large markets in Southern Ontario. Would demand in the United States be great enough to insure Canadian markets could keep growing? It's not about the Canadian market right now. That sector wide pump and dump happened once in 2017 and twice in 2018. Now the speculative fuel is all about gaining US foothold, both from the large Canadian companies and the state operators in the US. Nobody is fueling huge money in to Canadian weed stocks because they think Canada itself will be a big money maker. Canada is too small. Its market is not very important. US is the juicy fruit. So... the same thing we’re going to get if trump gets re-elected, except some of the cronies change position and funds allocated?

We WILL get a recession between now and the end of the next presidential term. That is, unless we have a revolutionary technological breakthrough like digimon and tamogachis, or Powell actually enacts this new quantitative easing experiment posted earlier in the thread, AND it works for long enough.

And a recession is probably better if the intensity of the bull run is proportional to the savagery of the bear market.

That company is such a piece of shit and the stock has a nasty nasty chart. A break of the advance on bad results means a HUGE gap down. You might win this time but the risk/reward here is disgustingly bad.

Okay I was being a bit of a hype man but maybe less faith and more praying is required. I hope that's not a large part of your portfolio.

I'll pour one out for you if it breaks out bad and drink to you if it breaks out great.

will continue to watch

honestly with a pattern this clear on the 1d candle I'd be surprised if it deviates too much

honestly this kind of thing is more a support of TA than an argument against it
