So let's say the team or Sergey on some stage announces mainnet in 1 month. What would happen? Is it priced in because of the endless statements by the team that "Q2 this year confirmed", "only waiting for audits" etc etc...

I think it would pump as swing traders who were short at the time would buy in quickly and get ready. But I wouldn't say it would be that significant. Could it dump? Yes, it probably will shortly after the pump and depends on how the announcement is made and was is said. Maybe they already crush some expectations of big players joining or maybe they announce that everybody will use it and we won't have a dump at all.

Now let's say Mainnet date is known and it's the big day. It happens, chainlink is live and nodes are going online. I think there could be 3 scenarios.

>from the start we see swift and axa and ibm and these lads using chainlink for their services that are still work in progress
>price pumps so hard, little singularity to maybe even 5-10$

>nothing happens, nodes go online but don't get many jobs
>price dumps hard because le sell the news and no new information on scope of this whole thing, actually disappointment

>net goes live and there are some jobs, half of sergeys stack starts getting distributed to online nodes as a basic income kind of thing or a bonus payment on top of job rewards
>price starts pumping to a 2-3x because neets see the instant and certain rewards and spin up nodes

I think there are arguments to be made for all of these cases, maybe not in an extreme way. Do you think the current sentiment on mainnet is so big that it's basically priced in and the announcement will be the dump?

I think so too. It will be a bigger dump than EOS and other coins that hyped up their mainnet because Chainlink's price is on hopium life support. If this were a bullrun, we would be already at 5$ or something. That's why chainlink 3x in a bear market, the buy pressure was anticipation for mainnet while btc and eth were getting dumped through every support pillar. Sergey better be coming out with Amazon Prime running on smart contracts or some shit so we don't go back to 18 cents.

I know someone on the team, they realized a while ago that their shit can’t ever work and to avoid being in legal trouble hired Adelyn to get her advice for how to make it appear publicly like they were working on stuff. Notice how she hasn’t even officially attached herself to the company on her LinkedIn or anywhere that might affect her ability to get another job.

The plan of Sergey giving lots of talks seems idiotic on the surface (he can’t be building a product if he’s just talking about it all the time) but in reality it is giving them all kinds of publicly available evidence that he was genuinely “working” towards something and it wasn’t just a scam (it is).

What do you think they are waiting for? The network is finished. All they have been doing is helping other companies create useful smartcontracts with Chainlink. That's why they have been audited so companies see they can trust the code. Sergey has said they will launch with multiple users from the get go to get the network effect rolling. It's not gonna be like Requests mainnet where there is $0 volume. The mainnet will either come out with users or will never come out if nobody wants to use it, but that's not the case since there is actually money to be made from cutting costs with smartcontracts. If corporations won't use them, then startups will see an opportunity and corporations later have to either adopt them as well or slowly die.

Neet nodes, without major network usage (so neets use pool systems), were always a meme. A bunch of companies/businesses coming out and announcing they were using the network would be almost as similar as eth alliance. I really hope this is what Sergey has in mind.
