It's unstainabls in the long run. Really reminds me of the old days of company stores.

In the end he overpaid for the washing of his clothes , renting a bed, renting a work space etc.

And good luck starting a family.

Best case he saves like 100k and can buy a condo in a few years. Hoping that the prices don't further increase.

I took the opposite lifestyle. Bought a home asp (only 3x my yearly wage). Been downpaying it ever since. And own a lot of things that I regular use so I don't have to pay rent. Even if the housemarket crashes 30% I still can get easily out if necessary. Untill then my house increased more in value then I could ever save with my job.
