Lol meanwhile Chad makes six-figures at his finance job and works less than 50 hours a week, plenty of time to take Stacy out to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and bang her afterwards in his Manhattan apartment.

how do you get these jobs? is it as simple as bamboozling yourself in to job interviews wearing a nice suit?

Have a connection. Business Chads usually have family or friends that know someone in the business to find them an internship or job. Not saying its impossible to get one of these jobs without a connection, but it expedites the process for Chad.

If you go into software for money and not because you enjoy it you're a fucking retard and you won't make it. If you don't have autism and enjoy having massive amounts of control over a computer because you're deficient in other areas, DON'T GO INTO CS YOU RETARDED FUCKING NORMIE. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME AND BE MISERABLE WHILE YOU THINK ABOUT NORMIE SHIT LIKE INSTAGRAM THOTS AND LAMBOS LIKE THE 95 IQ DROOLING RETARD YOU ARE. YOU WILL NOT HAVE FUN DEBUGGING YOUR SHITTY CODE, WONDERING WHY IT WON'T COMPILE OR WORK AS INTENDED IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INTEREST IN IT. DO NOT COLLECT $200, DO NOT PASS GO.

this disqualifies 95% of /biz/ btw

If you enjoy the work, getting paid big money to software engineer is the good life. Satisfying work and great pay, as long as you don't have to sit in too many bullshit gay meanings.

I used to work in a warehouse from 9am to 5pm and then I'd go work at a pizza restaurant until 10pm, it's not a big deal when you're a fucking loser.

Honestly for me I like to have some free time to look forward to.

I can't stand working and am not going to stay a second longer than I have to. I think at least in a job like working in the oil field it is explicitly set out for you. You will work these 12 hour days, you will get over time, that is just what is expected.

When you're working a salaried cubicle cuck job it's a little different. You may be scheduled to just work 8-5 but then at 4:45 your boss rolls by and asks you to stay a few extra hours. Also from my time working manual labor jobs there was never any implication that you worked to be happy. You worked because work is work and they pay you for your time. They at the very least acknowledged why you were there and didn't expect you to fulfill some kind of TED talk wet dream. I've learned to just put myself in the same mode that I did when I was doing jobs digging ditches or stacking boxes. You have to be here anyway so do the job you are being paid to do.

The problem is that isn't just what they want from you. They don't just want your time, they want your fucking soul. This job is the most important thing in your life is what they want you to think. This company is the best thing to ever happen to you and if you think otherwise you are a problem. It's not that this work is hard or that working in an oil field isn't more demanding but there is definitely a subtle trade off that nobody really talks about. The merits of your actual work don't matter as much as your ability to play their social game.

Idk, maybe I've just been in this environment for too long and am thinking the grass is greener but when I was doing manual labor nobody tasked me with watching TED talks in my free time so that I could discuss them in a bullshit meeting the next day.

Lol expect for chads who go to ivys or have tons of connections most finance grad struggle to find work in their oversaturated job market. When they do find work after interning for free for a year or two they get paid a pittance and can expect to work 60-80 hours.

Its the difference between being a labour grunt and a manager.
A manager's job is to manipulate people, thats the skillset that is needed.

It often is actually. 12 hours are up and your relief comes on and you are done for 12 hours pending significant issues. When two weeks are up and you are home there isnt a thing to think about work for. You are truly off.
