If you think self-driving cars are a fantasy, you're all very wrong. Many big players are seeking to find a foothold in the future of self-driving technology.

Toyota, Denso, and SoftBank, jusdt invested over 1B into Uber for self-driving cars development.

None of them have anywhere near the gigantic trove of real-world driving data that Tesla has. Tesla literally gets all of this data for free and has a giant head start.

Google, Uber and other companies will have a very hard time competing with this. Tesla's neural net is worlds ahead. These other companies insist that they can rely on millions of simulations which will never produce as reliable of results compared to real-world testing. If they could, then why would Google be looking to literally hire drivers so they can data mine?
