Ok, i am not an expert. But tell me something /biz/. What exactly stops someone from buying from one and selling to the other, since the price is so enormously different?

Nothing really, this practices is called exhage arbitrage and is really profitable, it something that hapens in unregulated markets like this where the same goods are sold in different marketplaces and the price is highly volatile.

But in the case of yobit there is a rumor that those waves are not real waves, so If if were you I would be very cautious with that concrete arbitrage strategy. Also yobit has low volume, so the simple act of you buying a large amount would cause the price to go up si this price difference would be exploitable once or maybe twice at best.

nothing stops people from trying, but they usually don't end up making a profit, at least not enough for the amount of work they are putting in.

confirmation wait times, transaction fees, liquidity - there's always a bottle neck.
