This guy is obviously smart and understands the revolutionary concept of a peer to peer network that utilizes blockchain and for that to work at all individuals need to be interacting with the blockchain directly. So why does he shill Lightning Network? Surely he understands that forcing everyone onto a centralized payment network that issues IOUs on top of a commodity is not at all what made Bitcoin revolutionary and is in fact a return to traditional goldsmiths/money changers scheme we're already living under.

What the fuck gives?

Hi newfags. I know you bought the top and never moved coins off of Coinbase, but for people who actually use Bitcoin the fees were extremely high as were the transfer times. While nobody is "forcing" you onto the bankin- Lightning Network, it'll be required if you want to get any kind of transactions done without spending potentially 1000s of dollars and waiting weeks.

LN is the only scaling Bitcoin Segwit has going forward. All of the shit that happened before will happen again. Fees are already high and we aren't even anywhere close to the traffic that will be on the network going forward.

Because he knows btc is currently the best solution. But he has stated many times that it may not be forever.

First fuck off I'm running a full node with a lightning network and holding my bitcoin on a hardware wallet
Second I saw how much transactions fees went up
Third I didn't buy high

I smell a cashie!

But seriously, OP stated that lightning network is centralized, which is simply not true
Some dumb linkie-IQ /biz/fags look at the visual representation of the LN and see clumps of crossing lines all coming together but this is just a 2d visual illusion

Ironically many folks who supported the bch raised blocksize spoke about this centralization, when raising the block size only makes the system even more centralized than it already is

Antonopolus is one of the best speakers and evangelists in the crypto world, he's been here and thoroughly involved way before even dollar parity, so he knows his shit better than you almost no matter who you are if you're on /biz/

I bet you think running a node from your laptop verifies transactions.
