The idea is there will be a prolific amount of wealth through automation that will swallow inflation. Then we just focus on wealth distribution (not re-distribution, this isn't zero-sum)

Only if the government needs to price lots more money. I guess one of their arguments is restructuring of many social programs and reducing administration by just giving it to everyone. Might help some, and hurt others. Might also require slashes in other things budgets to cover it. Over all, its a huge expenditure and it depends how it gets paid for.

Basically anyone who isn't on a program will be, but it will not eliminate existing programs (thus any allusion to savings through the elimination of administrative costs is total horse shit)

The people getting foodstamps will get $1000 instead of $250~, the people on Social Security will still be getting their $1200~. In the end the program alone will cost about 2.8 trillion (total current federal budget: 3.2 trillion), 25% which will be "paid for" by making everything more expensive through a Value Added Tax; any of the money you have will be devalued by 10% minimum the moment it's actually spent.

Thanks I have to admit I didn't look up the platform enough, but I've glanced at his plans now.
How does the math add up? 2.8T in extra spending. 800B VAT, 600B economic growth, 100B (maybe 2-3?) savings in use of services and were 1T short.
