Craig obviously had a lot of involvement in the creation of Bitcoin and it's feasible that he could be Satoshi.

That being said he won't provide hard evidence that objectively proves he is Satoshi, and furthermore the idea that "Satoshi" would rage so hard against the community and the project he is responsible for is unpalatable for most of the community. Satoshi represented everything "good" in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency - decentralization, anonymity, distrust of a central government, etc.

Craig Wright meanwhile has said things and has done things that are completely contrary to that rose-tinted vision of Satoshi. He's immature, selfish, cantankerous, and widely disliked by the "crypto community". He's objectively an asshole. So the community does not want to believe he's Satoshi, even though he very well could be.

That's my view
