Is trading options actually a reasonable way to make money or is it a meme/scam without insider information?

I started researching it and there's so much information and I want to know if it's worth it or if i'll lose my money.

Well, I can at least tell you this about the topic: Some days ago, I had an interview with a prop firm (17 people total, 6 traders) for a job as a prop trader. During our conversation one of the guys recapitulated the strategies the traders employ and there is one guy trading equities options exclusively with 15-25% return per year. This guy is quite young and this is one of the least profitable traders there, but for the time being the most stable.
