Why is this a bad thing again?

Content creators need to cash out. Advertisers need to buy in. Consumers need to facilitate both by earning from the advertiser, then spending on the content creator. Additionally, stop thinking content creators are simply youtube / twitch e-celebs. It could be a subscription to the WSJ, NYT, Guardian, Telegraph, etc. Could be extended to any subscription model that makes use of targeted advertising.
