v2, literally stealing KHC at these prices !

Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

I sold my VKTX puts a few days ago when it dipped into the 9s for a slight profit. The catalyst date that VKTX is running to is on the 11th I believe. Didn't want to fuck with theta decay anymore. I might buy some on the 10th.

It really depends
>bad data = puts
>good data = puts
>fucking amazing data = calls
If it runs hot to 12-13 on the 11th, 10 will be the support and those puts will be worthless. If it holds these low 10 levels they'll continue to have value.

>> No.13228680

>>13228653
And this is where I was assuming the word “hedging” comes from in that I was also planning on picking up about 500 shares in case my puts go south but would it be better to pick up calls for the 18th also?
I keep hearing this phrase “theta decay” this is regarding the value of the put itself?

>> No.13228787

>>13228680
Yeah theta decay is when the contract intrinsically becomes lesser in value the closer it gets to expiry.
Calls can fuck you up though especially with biotech because sometimes they release the data premarket and by the time you've bought calls at open the stock is already headed down. If you're gonna buy any, I'd recommend the 9th or 10th, since it would expose you to less decay and you'd probably be hitting the dip between their investor event being sold off and the run leading to data.
If you wanna play it safe though shares are the way to go. It'll likely dip tomorrow. Set a stop loss in the high 9s and a standing limit sell for a gain that'd cover whatever you invested in to puts and hope that it gets pinged when the data gets released and pumped and dumped by algos.

yep.. not only that.. Lowes workers are all fucking retarded as shit but for some reason will talk to you like you're retarded. Unironically, I think it’s headed into the shitter once the boomers die

Not only do millennials not want their McMansions, they seem to love apt. living. A few succulents and maybe some small potted tomato and basil plants and that’s pretty much it. Got no idea what zoomers want.

I wonder about real estate as an asset class. Is this just my coastal urban bias from living in a housing bubble?

>We at Boeing are sorry for the lives lost in the Boeing 737 MAX accidents. These tragedies continue to weigh heavily on our hearts and minds and we extend our sympathies to the loved ones of the passengers and crew on board Liion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302. All of us feel the immense gravity of these events across our company and recognize the devastation to the families and friends of the loved one who perished. The full details of what happened in these two accidents will be issued by the government authorities in the final reports.

>But with the release of the preliminary report of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302accident investigation, it's apparent that in both flight the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System, known as MCAS, activated in response to erroneous angle of attack information.

>The history of our industry shows most accident are caused by a chain of events. This again is the case here, and we know we can break one of those chain links in these two accidents. As pilots have told us, erroneous activation of the MCAS function can add to what is already a high workload environment. It's our responsibility to eliminate this risk. We own it, and we know how to do it.

>I have concerns about more purchases. As others have pointed out, the dealer community is now assuming close to a $4 trillion balance sheet and purchases through the first quarter of 2014. I admit that is a much stronger reaction than I anticipated, and I am uncomfortable with it for a couple of reasons.

>First, the question, why stop at $4 trillion? The market in most cases will cheer us for doing more. It will never be enough for the market. Our models will always tell us that we are helping the economy, and I will probably always feel that those benefits are overestimated. And we will be able to tell ourselves that market function is not impaired and that inflation expectations are under control. What is to stop us, other than much faster economic growth, which it is probably not in our power to produce?
