That sounds nice. I have some problems with silver tho. It is shorted massivly to keep it from being a store of value like gold, and also help industries with lower prices (just conspiracy talk, who knows what your peoples actual reason is).
However if we do have a real recession, in which stores of value are sought after:
1. industrial demand will decrease
2. dumps are deflationary

Everyone is thinking, especially after mr j. powells dovish turnaround, that we are gonna have japan-esque scenario where the central banks "pump it" and we super-mega inflation to the moon. This is why gold, with the hype taken into account, only follows the index.

No worries new friend. The delta is the value your option will increase/decrease if the stock moves 1$ up/down. So say you have an option for FB where the delta: 0.5 then every dollar FB goes up, your option increases .5 aka 50$ Gain.

Theta is the decay which is the amount your option will decrease throughout the day, since it’s technically a leveraged trade. So if you have a delta: 0.5 and a theta: .02 that’s a good looking option. If the stock trades sideways that day and doesn’t move at all, you’ll only lose about 2$ from the theta decay. Those are the two big Greeks you should know right off the bat. This is my layman’s explanation anyway.
