b-b-but it's 2019! in a few years 500tb ssds will be standard for the average user

>> No.13120904

>>13120609
and with 1tb blocks yould have to buy a new 500tb ssd two times a week. You think that sounds like a good idea? I know I wont be running back and forth to the computer store to keep that bloated chain alive. Will you? Are you willing to spend your precious time and hard earned money to keep a fork of a fork alive?

Are u going to be a miner? Ur non mining full node is jack shit cuck

>> No.13121186

>>13121155
That's the problem! When it becomes impossible for normal people to mine due to high cost, it will be centralised. How can we be sure the chain is secure when only a few can afford to mine it?

Bitcoin doesn't need your Raspberry Pi. Every country will have hundreds of companies running large server farms competing for the PoW block rewards.
Adding 500TB or storage per week is not a problem for them. The network will still be way more decentralized than the DPoS scams like EOS.

Why the fuck would the miners do anything to jeopardize their operation likely worth hundreds of millions of dollars? If they do something stupid like that they LOSE money

>> No.13121247

Not even lose money. Just crash the entire ecosystem and brick their hardware. Yeah real smart
