College is basically a scam. With the internet you can learn everything for free at your own pace. What you’re paying for is a social network/dating opportunities and access to career fair hiring booths. College is good for society though as a filter for obedient wagecucks. Homework is your job assignment, and grades are your wage. It doesn’t teach or give a shit about independent thinking or creativity.

Top school in my field at 16.

It was worth it in the sense that it showed me what a waste school is (especially as an American), if I hadn't tried I probably would've gone to my grave wondering.

It wasn't worth it in the sense that it fucked me over for years psychologically. I wasn't ready for school and being a high achieving "talented" freak as a kid set me up for a hard crash and burn in a grad school environment.

I dropped out two years into things, fucked around a bit, and succeeded after a few years... so I guess if you're a proponent of college you'll say it's because of school that I've succeeded. If you hate school like me, you'll say I did in spite of it.

I just turned 20 and I'm taking home $100K a year working as a Service Advisor at a luxury car dealership in a small/wealthy college town.

I had two piss easy automotive jobs through high school lasting no more than a few months (noted as years), and took a cakewalk $36 ASE Certification test to bolster my resume.

I'm paying $500/mo to live in a house with 4 other bros who are all going to college. These dudes are all like 22-24 years old, all at least $60K in debt. One of them is graduating this semester with a philosophy degree, and it's frankly hilarious seeing him absolutely freaking the fuck out on an existential level while I'm stacking benjis and living like a king. Dude's parents are paying his rent and are cutting him off once he graduates. He has no idea what he wants at this point. It's incredible to experience college life from a detached perspective, most of these kids don't know what the fuck they're doing and are just using college as an excuse to mooch off their parents and binge drink for as long as they can. Whenever I bring up plans after college with normies (not goal-oriented students), they're mostly completely aimless despite having a specific major or "want to go to graduate school" or some bullshit.

I don't really find my social life impacted by working full time, as my bros always have parties to go to or guests to bring over. Though sooner than later I'm going to get my own apartment or move cities and it might get a little lonesome.

For that reason, I intend to go back to college in a couple of years if I save up enough, but LITERALLY just for the selection of prime pussy as I will be even more of a chad as I continue growing. If I can't figure out a business venture in that time I might snag a meme degree and get into some corporate job with an auto manufacturer.

sorry for the blog post but yeah tldr college is a meme find an easy niche

part of the problem is that they're forcing teenagers, right out of high school with 0 experience working in the real world, to go to school and pick "something that interests you" (when, likely, none of the subjects are very interesting) all the while charging the fuck out of them and racking up debt, promising them it will be paid off

i never really took up debt because i got the best ACT score in my high school and perfect grades, so i had scholarships

i went to the top ranked state uni, and i had no fucking idea what I wanted to do for a "career" -- everything sounded boring, uninteresting, and they said picking something you don't like is "the wrong choice"

i opted for something general, and now i am graduated and it isn't able to qualify me for anything

the job market is fucked. there's literally thousands of jobs i could do, easily, i just might need a few weeks of training, but i could do them. there's no subject in school i ever found too difficult.

i may not be strong, fast, or good at talking to people... but put me in front of a computer with some problem and i can nearly always figure it out

thing is, with the job market as it is, there's so many people they don't want to invest in anyone like that. also my grades were kind of shitty at uni for a number of reasons.

whatever. if i made $100k per year like you, i'd probably retire in 5-10 years. working a job never made me happy, quite the opposite

For sure, I don't blame the kids for the most part, it's absolutely forced down your throat starting junior year of high school that you ARE going to college and if you don't you've failed miserably. And once you're on the ride there's no getting off unless you take a real hefty redpill.

I have my fuckoff parents to THANK for not being present enough to make sure I did well in school and got into college and took on student loans

The last two years of high school revolved *completely* around college prep, applications, etc at my school

I got a decent 32 ACT but fucked off on grades so I went to Community College for a couple of semesters after HS. I didn't realize it at the time, but I dissociated and dropped out because I dreaded so deeply having to spend the next 5 years of my life going to literal waste-of-time classes, working in restaurants by night, only to be enslaved for the rest of my life at some shit job.

Instead I can save a ton of money working an easy and rewarding job in a nice town with decent friends
I don't really intend to buy a house so in a year or two I can afford to quit and just go travel for a while and whatnot

Once I'm ready to pick back up, I can move anywhere and I'm a good candidate for a widely available position where you'd have to try real hard to make less than $60K/yr even at the shittiest dealers. I'm sure you can find a similar comfy setup with computers, in fact a buddy of mine decided to get his shit together a couple years ago, and managed to get a UI Design job or something, making bank with no degree

>I'm sure you can find a similar comfy setup with computers, in fact a buddy of mine decided to get his shit together a couple years ago, and managed to get a UI Design job or something, making bank with no degree
yeah, i was talking to some anons in another thread. apparently web dev is such a fast growing field that all the stuff i was doing at my old job is almost completely useless. i got some links to study stuff, but the real issue here is to find the desire to even pursue this shit.

i used to enjoy programming/web dev. and then, i got a job doing it. it made me actually hate it. but i couldn't really get a job doing anything else, so i guess i'm fucked. my only hope is to get a high paying job and then just retire early

Northern Arizona University. Decent, mid-sized, inexpensive. Beautiful campus, overall lovely place.

I regret majoring in Finance but I don't regret having a bachelors. I'm able to meme my way into a lot of jobs by wearing a suit. The retarded boomer manager says "wow anon, you must really know your numbers."

I was also a fraternity president, and despite the fact that I hated most of my brothers, I really did get a ton of snowbunny ass though.

I wanted to be a Marine Corps officer, but my lung collapsed at OCS and I am medically separated/disqualified. That's life.

Do a normal fucking engineering degree not some retarded incel infested major like CS. Math + econ is shitty as well. You want a guaranteed job first, income is secondary.

Anyone else at Ball State in Indiana?

I kind of like it, it was definitely worth my time, I'm studying Computer Science and Mathematics, graduating this semester. Pretty pumped about the internships I've had, also it was relatively cheap so I feel like I def got my moneys worth.

Games art, hertfordshire, no it's a useless degree and now i cant get a job. I dont want to do postgrad because thats another 9250k down the drain, looking for a job for ages now and got rejected by literally everything i could think of and i think i'll end up working min wage legit anywhere but got rejected by mcdonalds 8 times, lidl 5 times, etc etc.
Even worse my bf is doing the same shit now and i cant convince him to not do it before it's too late but desu i think he's just doing it now because he doesnt know what else to do with his life he enjoys other than video games or something even if i've told him about doing atleast some undergrad that teaches coding or doing trade and having money and years.

tldr i hate life and i'll hate the next 50 years of wage cucking.
