Real account with real money: 0.5 BTC (ATH 1.2)
Bitmex testnet account: 3 BTC (started with free 0.2 XBT from the faucets)

Does trading with real money influence you?

Sort of, but bitmex staff has what's called level 3 which gives margin levels ie. information about how much someone would need to buy or sell to hit the maximum amount of stop losses. The test net lulls you into a false sense of security.

That level reflect on that chart that show how many longs/shorts are open?

Bitmex's testnet is unironically a meme, too many variables out of the equation, such as volume and REAL fear/greed. Try to drift on need for speed, then do the same irl, good luck.
Long story short, if you want to test the waters put 10 bucks on mainnet now and then, you mustn't touch testnet with a 10 foot pole otherwise you will learn how to lose money.

I used most likely to understand how it worked before putting real money in.

For example I fucked up thinking that I could open a long and a short simultaneously and it completely changed the margin and got liquidated.

Doing it with real money would have been unpleasant.

Sure you learned how to avoid newbie's mistakes, on the other hand you got your brain used to trade with fake data. Next time don't be a kike and pour 10 bucks.
