Kinda newfag here started browsing /biz/ one month ago after a friend who was more knowledgeable than me talked about Cryptocurrency. I thought back on how BTC was all the rage last year until the bubble supposedly popped. Naive and full of hope I thought I could make it via internet coins as well, and I put all of the savings I accumulated since Highschool in BTC and ETH each, just as a form of insurance because I quickly understood that they would be safe bets for the future.
Seeing threads about FTM popping around more and more here lately and loving what the project entailed compared to Chainlink, I genuinely thought that I could make it by exchanging all my ETH for FTM 3 days ago - my portfolio was composed of BTC and FTM only, didn't care much about other projects as I spent my time learning more Fantom.

The absolute state. I learnt a lesson today.
