Question for those of you who make real money trading.
You have to make quarterly estimated tax payments based on realized gains, right? (Assuming they exceed realized losses.)
So if you had a large position that you wanted to exit at a price spike with the intention of rebuying when the price returns to normal, you'd have to set aside 22% (or so) of your realized gains for the IRS (if you were planning to hold your rebought position a long time, or if the quarterly deadline is near) so the only way you'd actually be increasing your buying power is if you'd realized at least a 22% gain as a result of your sale. Right?

The way I see it I break even at $9.61. So the stock drops 4% by Friday or it doesn't. 50% of the time I'll get my money back and then the other 50% of the time those 4 puts will be worth $1. As you can see I can't lose here.

Committee vote doesn't mean a whole lot but it's a start. Might make it through the full congress vote. Senate is a problem. When you are buying small cap trash on speculation of moon shots, you do not cost average long hodl. You look at chart, identify support, set buy order at support, wait for it to fill, put a stop loss below support. Alternately identify resistance, stop buy above resistance, stop loss below nearest support.

If you trade penny cancer like blue chips you will lose all of your money eventually.

ok. so under the Fox dis merger deal the way they figure the ratio is as follows.

If at deal close time (today) if Dis is over $114 per the ratio is 0.3324 per 1 fox

If Dis stock is under $114 at deal close they do it based on average price of Dis stock for previous 15 trade days and divide it by $38. Average Dis price is $113.784 (I already done the math). Dis closed today at $110.00

So the ratio in use is this 0.33396. Combined with my old Fox shares I just managed to bag a whole Dis share (3 fox shares x 0.33396)

Deal is officially done at 12 a.m the 20th (midnight)
