I unironically lived in Korea for a couple of years and I can tell you they are very tech adoptable. They were tapping their phones from virtual wallets to hop on the subway 10 years ago. If any city is willing to go smart it is Seoul

Each individual iot manufacturer will just create their own platform, and will likely be a proprietary piece of shit. Also, why would cities want to have all iot data public with smart contacts and daps. This coin is just all buzz words.

You don’t understand Korea. This is a card I used 10 years ago in Seoul to pay for bus, subway, taxis, shopping (including groceries, clothes, etc) and online shopping. It was all streamlined. They really are ways ahead of us

Right and what makes cities smart? Integration. In which North American city could you use balance for public transit in a cab and in shopping malls?
