i don't understand it 100%, but i think the point of lava protocol is to exchange 0xbitcoin in lava token form for ethereum on ethereum network and bypass wrapped ethereum.

more importanly it alwasy you to create a new token on chain pegged 1:1 with 0xBTC. By being able to mint an new token permissionless on eth, you can do A WHOLE BUNCH OF COOL SHIT NO OTHER CHAIN CAN DO.

Is it always pegged 1:1 ??

If the answer is yes the price should go beyond the moon.

so, this is ethereum in ethereum?

Yes it is, basically you take 0xbtc and with this atomic swap you can exchange it for another token to basically load any functionality you could imagine onto the original 0xbtc token.

Why not just make a new dapp for these functionalities instead of loading them onto wrapped token of wrapped tokens?

You can make a dapp inside your wrapped tokens that are wrapped in 0xBTC, that is what is cool here.

Also, the Distribution is a low cap gem hunters literl wet dream.

Sounds like a massive waste of gas, and I'm all in for that reason.

You pay your conversion from 0xbtc to lava by using contracts that use ethereum that are swapped by dex which use ethereum as well. It "appears" that you're not using ethereum, but you are actually getting "double taxed" by using all of these contracts to get this to work.
