If pic related was to collapse what would it do to the market as a whole? Would exchanges go under? Any decent alternative stable coins out there?

it would never collapse, everyone has always known its not backed by anything, this happened early 2018 when everything was tanking, people said that tether was going to exit scam etc.

USDC will quickly replace it in the event of a collapse, so not much to worry about.

According to coinmarketcap, USDT represents about 1.5% of the entire cryoto market. That's 2 billion out of an overall 140 billion dollar market. So every single tether could go *poof* in the next instant and it would have less effect than the average fluctuation of bitcoin every hour. Tether means nothing.

You are a fucking moron!
Nobody knows how much money is in crypto. That 1.5% market cap that you find miniscule makes up for half of the stable coin / fiat trading. If it implodes it will have a significant impact in the market, probably Mt. Gox level impact because back then Mt Gox was trading roughly half of all crypto back then.

Your emotional outburst and concomitant lack of argument is roastie tier. Try again with something a little more fact based than "miniscule", "significant", and "probably".

You can trade TUSD to USD though.

At this point, tether can't collapse because the entire market is based on faith. Faith would have to be lost in everything simultaneously to cause a big enough run on tether.

no you can't. where?

Check their website. I would link all the info but my Internet is too crap right now.

>> No.13036762

It won't collapse. Tether will shift their fiat backings into currency using chainlink. This will also give rise to adhoc etfs. Alot of things are enabled by decentralization and aggregation.
