Why is the crypto community and /biz/ in general so childlike? Posting frogs and investing their hard earned money in scams like Chainlink. Why not just take the VTSAX pill and buy a portion of the entire stock market?

>le stock market investor is mature reddit meme

If you weren't dumb as a fucking plank you'd realise that if you have a small amount of starting capital like most of the kids on here, to make any appreciable money you need much more volatile assets than a fucking index fund where you stand to double your $200 net worth over 10 years.

They're more mature than you, you're just a larper who thinks knowing shit about the stock market makes you le mature investor.

Just like all the other loser faggots that missed out on crypto at /r/investing and think they did well because they bootlicked Warren Buffett

Actually we're invested in frogs and post scams like chainlink as red herring.

We're just trying to entertain ourselves until crypto, silver, or weed stocks start mooning again.

The stock market is a sucker's bet unless you have the means to high frequency trade and access to the data and algorithms to make well timed decisions. You don't have this though cuz the game is rigged. Crypto is rigged too but the playing field is much more even. API feeds are free, each trade only has to hit a single exchange so you can't get fucked by front runners, the correlations between instruments are so different from traditional equities that the big boys haven't caught on yet. You actually have a chance to make it here. Stocks? Yeah fucking right

there will be a tipping point with etfs like vtsax where the tail starts to wag the dog.As of last september ETPs were 3.7 trillion in the US, while in January 2018 russell 3000 market cap was $30 trillion. it has a ways to go but the more that everyone just buys indexes, weird effects could begin to happen, such as politicking over who gets into the indexes so they can do share repurchases becoming more focused on than the underlying business. I'm sure smart people are watching it all and it's a meritocracy unironically based on profits and metrics at the current levels, but it will have weird effects if everyone just buys indexes. You won't win by doing it once everyone is doing it

Kind of this..
You could leverage trade the stock/forex market, which could make it possible to make a large return from a small investment.

Obviously the leveraged position makes it more likely that you will get a margin call, if a price movement of 5% can cause you to double your investment, then a price movement of 5% in the opposite direction can cause you to loose everything.

It seems a lot more difficult to successfully earn a lot of money in the stock/forex market.. relative to the crypto market.

eh the future of stocks is tokenization. From that view /biz/ is ahead of it's time, just like animals in the wild have a sense for bad weather neets can sense the habbening of disruption in the markets. A lot will get wrecked by shitcoins and meme scams but they just can't ignore the call, the uhh, cyber gold rush

Warren investing strategy is dying- the highly efficient companies that *don't* pay out dividends will beat the inefficient dividend companies in next 10 years or so. Warren is already hemorrhaging billions right now kek.

Yes, there is no reason that securities should be so inaccessible. Crypto just cuts through the bullshit and let anyone talk with their money.

crypto is very similar to pennystocks/lowcap except way more volatile agree, also make no mistake, chainlink is a fucking scam in my opinion

2 years singing the same song, flying across continents, and handing out free tshirts on ico's dime, instead of actually producing something and or hiring more dev
