"NKN Code Review Conclusion
NKN has come into the game with an exciting angle. They aren’t looking to re-create and improve on existing platforms. Instead, they are looking to define a new leg of decentralization, a New Kind of Network. Their goals are backed by theoretical models which, based on my basic understanding, make sense.

The code isn’t quite production ready, with lots of TODOs, FIXMEs and comments of “add this later”, but that is fine for a work in progress. I’m disappointed by the lack of unit tests written and inline comments. That said, it doesn’t mean their code doesn’t work. They released their first leg of their alpha testnet ahead of schedule so something is definitely going right in the camp. With optimizations and the alpha release of their SDK coming out in August, this project definitely has potential."

but this is 9 months old

there is no good use case for nkn. Who wants to share bandwidth with pedos? If you need a vpn, just get one. And in the end nkn relies on isps infrastructure and no corporation will want to deal with a coin that fluctuates in price.

Ignorance is bliss.
>deal with a coin that fluctuates in price
Coin usage is transparent. It is used to reward nodes only who relay data. The network is not stored on the blockchain.
Besides that, the blockchain is functional on itself, with smart contracts and stuff, so it works as Ethereum or other platforms do, with better scalability.

nkn's pbc improves end user's internet connectivity and speed.
it enables isp's and users to trade unused bandwith.
it provides a a fast and decentralized p2p network foundation for dapps.

just to name a few.

>It is used to reward nodes only who relay data
One sided story. You also pay for the service in nkn which makes it a payment token and that fluctuates.

This guy has 70k followers but can barely get 20 likes on most posts. Probably bought most of his followers

>> No.13027163

I don't understand the tokenomics of nkn. If it's just a payment token, how does it hold value?
