Biden has clout in the midwestern battleground states. However, the Nu DNC is all about image and identity politics and this old white man would probably not even make it out of the primary. He doesn't want to go on the debate stage and get silenced due to his race and gender over and over, he's old and ready to be done. He's ran for Prez twice now.

That's the beauty of competition. If you pick a losing strategy (identity politics), it makes your job that much tougher. Biden could take the nom, Dems could solidify behind him, and beat Trump, but that won't happen.
