$REFR is a REEFER stock edition:

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Daily reminder the only dividend securities worth holding are etfs of the broad market, microsoft, and Raytheon or Boeing.

It has always been this way. If you fell for or are currentyl falling for the dividends securities like GE, Ford, etc enjoy that -50% the past five years, tons of debt, and no growth

You can see by the previous interest rate environments fot the max drawdown that food stocks face from the 90s and 2002. The industry is hot for the next battery and Toyota and other auto makers only confirm that. I’m not concerned about the stock going back to 2 or lower because it won’t happen unless something bad news wise that I miss hits.

FYI, Stocks under 3 is like buying options outright. You might as well buy shares, minimal risk and you can always lose them where with options you pay the premium up front (like buying the multiplier in a lotto ticket) and if they don't pass a certain point you lose all

And you can’t question that the SPY will keep going up up and up?

Does no one see how insane this sounds? So if you want to be well off with your investments you need a salary that leaves you well off.

Main bull thesis for investing this heavily is doing a bunch of analysis on reported VIN's, and concluding that Q4 guidance was heavily sandbagged. While the bears on this stock are particularly religious and seem to severely underestimate demand like always.

Basically I'm gambling on a revenue beat next quarter. Also, this has been a sideways stock for a long time, and plotting it with 200 day Boilinger bands at 1 stddev, buying whenever it's crossing back up across the lower band and selling when it goes above the upper band has been guarenteed money for god knows how long.

You're retarded if you think physical games are going anywhere. They will NEVER recover their success from the PS2 era, but if they can get a nonretarded CEO and board, then they shouldn't have any trouble in today's market.

strike price is the price the day you bought the option, calls are to buy the stocks in the future at a cheaper price than the market during that time or alternatively, selling the call during expiration, and a put is just when you think the stock is going to go down by experiation

Triple Green day, GE on the rise despite the lackluster report oh my. Just you wait for it to dip a bit then buy it up you little shit. Cause once they reinstate the Divvy you'll be sitting real pretty, on a pile of cheap ass bought Divvy's, 4x a year oh my how the Profit will climb. Then the sweet desert why it's those three upcoming Spinoffs of course.

Soon on the 20th Fox gets swallowed up by Disney. Some say it'll be a sad day, me long as I get cash or Dis stock plus those new Fox shares I was promised I could care less on all that shit. Can then Sell the New Fox for a profit while keeping that "free" dis share that cost me nothing.

Now for my two best friends T and the S&P 500, they'll always have my back when the market in general is having a shit attack. Can't go wrong with them you see, one pays a nice Divvy the other gives you long term gains. 0.51 x 4 is nothing to ignore when the price per share is under $30 or more. Buy it up on the dip and let it rip for 14 years or more. The fat payout will be well worth it I'm sure.

I've got more than one way to earn some green you see, a pension, a 401k and some good old savings. Between all 4 and no massive debt load I'm good to go when I retire from my job at 50 years old.

>> No.13022060

>>13022046
break even is just the price you need to pass per call or put to make money, up and down respectively.
limit price is for when you basically suspect the stock might go up at some point, so you set the price to some number you think it will hit, then it should automagically sell during that peak. that being said, robinhood is slow, so it might miss the mark, not trigger, or you might even make a little extra if you are lucky

>>13022083
it really just depends, because despite the sweet innocent 2.5 on that baby, its actually gonna cost like 2500, aka, you need to have 2500 on standby to actually go through with buying the option. normally what you want to do, is find the market price in the big list of everything, and try to hover around there, either just above or just below
pic related is an illustration, i tried, but if you dont get it i can still explain what i can

Slight correction, break even is the line you need to cross for your INTRINSIC value to break even.

False equivalency. Game rentals were made irrelevant more by online play than purchases. That's why rentals were dead by the 360 era.
>>13022145
I don't play video games anymore, but I've been pcfat for years. The online distribution of games on consoles can't compete with PC because steam sales. Furthermore, we've seen gamers fight tooth and nail about this physical game issue when Microsoft tried to fuck used game sales over.

Let me once again emphasize that I'm not claiming game stop will EVER get back to their former glory. But if they make smart changes and can manage to make used games relevant again, there is definitely a place for them in the market. Tbh, the bigger threat is places like Amazon, not Microsoft and sony.

SEEL was a P&D scam and super duper over. Made 5k off it while at a funeral. I might buy back at 1.4 and see if lightning strikes twice.

LPTX is actually an investment. Didn't sell any of my position when it hit 2.3. Added more today. Averaged up.

Snagged a few thousand shares of Avinger right at the .65 dip in the am and then it soared into the .70s by lunch.
