>tfw it will be considered NORMAL for people to straight up never, ever retire by the time you hit what used to be retirement age
>boomers literally fucked the economy up so hard and created such a rigged system that the vast majority of people born after about 1980 will literally be forced to work endlessly until they die
This is the worst timeline.

If you think that's bad imagine all of the kids coming out of college who want jobs but they're still occupied by old geezers who should have retired already but didn't have the mindset to save. These kids can't even get jobs

"Retirement" was a bubble that popped after the boomers' time anyways.
Retirement is a relatively new concept, historically speaking. Before that, you either worked until you died or your family took care of you into your old age.

Idk about that
Retirement might be possible if you have no kids, have a likeminded spouse, combined incomes, and a 2nd or 3rd world retirement locale.
Ive already made up my mind that I will never be able to retire in the US.
Hopefully Mexico is still an option when I'm old.

Find an alternative. Go find land in the middle of nowhere, start a small community with one or two families, and you'll never have to worry about such stupid shit as "retirement".
Why you would want to repeat what the boomers did and try to "retire", I'll never know, you obviously hate them.
Nice plot of land, some chickens, maybe some goats, a really nice garden, a wife, kids, and friends. What more could you want? A jetski and a beachside house in Florida so you can be just like those old faggot boomers? Fuck 'em.

When I was flying out of Vegas a few weeks ago, there was was this old black dude that said he was 71 or 72 walking around with a broom, trying to make chitchat with passengers. Made me a little depressed but I mainly annoyed cause I felt like he was gonna try and chat me up.
Anyways for now the US military is still paying out pensions after only 20 years of service. I dont see that going away any time soon.
Personally I'm a union worker. Under our current CBA, you get $200 a month for every year of service. I'm 35 and I have 4 "good" years so far. That plus my 401k plus social security (Ive paid in since I was 16), I think I'll be about to retire in my earl 60s and be quite comfortable. I dont worry about my pension not being funded because my employer is actually a conglomerate of shipping companies that will be making money hand over fist when they replace us with robots.
So the moral of the story is enlist.

Within the next decade numerous cities and states are gonna go bankrupt due to massive unpaid liabilities stemmed from overpaid public pensions as what happened with Detroit in 2013.

Chicago is next on the chopping block
