I don't believe this story, and here's why...

Dad's now (late x'ers and early millennials) know college is shit unless you have something very specific picked out that requires a degree, and you have a plan for keeping it super affordable (2 years cc with transfer/ scholarship to state uni).
Only boomers believed in, and sold the idea of, get a private college liberal arts degree to find yourself and sixfigure jobs just automatically fall on top of you.

It was probably a boomer who married a young woman but he was infertile so he hired a black bull to impregnate her.

Ones that are required for point A to point B, whatever that may be for the individual; additionally, if they're going to be approached as an investment, they should be a very affordable portion of your monthly budget based on realistic salaries in the job you're DEFINITELY going to get with that degree.
What's the point of investing in a degree if it can't land you the job you're sinning at, or if you're not even aiming at a specific job, or if it will get you the job, but it basically gobbles up all but minimum wage in loan payments for 10-20 years?

That's probably what happened, when you think about it.

Can you give some examples, homie?

Do you even need a degree to become an investment banker if you're already good at math?
