You're so retarded you don't understand why people go into crypto. The point isn't preserving your wealth but increasing it dramatically. I'm speaking for myself but I imagine a lot of people are like me, I spit on your little change in stocks as I already have more, and have more than that in crypto. It's a gamble but if you don't get financially independently now, your only options is to save up slowly until you're 45. I don't want to retire at 45. That's why people go into crypto. Basically this. If you're only investing a relatively small amount it's much better to go with high risk, high reward investments because the safe investments like index funds are basically only for making sure your wealth maintains it's value and increases a little bit.

Long story short, less than 10k just straight up isn't worth investing in anything other than high risk investments. The only reason to invest such a small amount in low risk investments is if your plan is to add to it constantly as you earn from other avenues, otherwise you're just wasting your time.
