I have no idea, if you look at the transaction history it looks like they precede any change in trend, which leads leads me to believe this is either a whale or potentially an exchange wallet. I can't tell though, but someone here might.

problem is, I can't even find the wallet address for the receivers, it just says "unparsed address". I googled what this means, and I think it has to do with segwit or something. It's above my paygrade, so to speak. So even if we knew the change wallet addresses, we would be unable to verify whether that is where the transactions were sent because the addresses are not being shown.

>> No.12935563

>>12934813
ill do some research but it's probably just a transfer coming from a bech32 (segwit) address. segwit addresses are annoyingly not always accounted for

>> No.12935569

>>12935554
Why? Not being facetious, genuinely curious. I feel a whale wouldn't move hundreds of millions of dollars worth of bitcoin for the lulz.

Also, how could this be an exchange wallet if the amount of bitcoin remains stagnant for months at a time? Unless it's a cold storage wallet? idk

whats the point, the btc were moved on 02/28 so like a week ago and nothing happened, big deal

judging by the gradual increase in btc gained and how it distributed them into multiple wallets it looks like it's just an exchange starting to use multiple cold storage wallets for security (cuz quadriga incident)

>> No.12937384

following the trail it looks like it hopped to this wallet at 2019-02-28 10:15:48
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/bc1qyy30guv6m5ez7ntj0ayr08u23w3k5s8vg3elmxdzlh8a3xskupyqn2lp5w

then from there another 12k move distributed to many other wallets at 2019-02-28 11:56:41
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/block/565057/bc1qyy30guv6m5ez7ntj0ayr08u23w3k5s8vg3elmxdzlh8a3xskupyqn2lp5w
these wallets have no previous history so perhaps its just someone who wants to lay low and split his fortune so it'd be hard to track him on the blockchain
