There is a great habbening occurring right now. How is BAT generating this kind of buzz in a bear market? Will Brave/BAT usher in Web 3.0 and the Golden Bull Run simultaneously?

So you can make literal pennies browsing the internet. Remember the "Paid to Surf" programs... this is the blockchain version of "We're going to give you pennies to look at advertisements and since nobody else gives you pennies to browse the internet, we expect everyone will throw away their ad blockers that work exceptionally well to use this browser with built in ad blockers - except we don't want you to use the ad blockers, we want you to look at the ads in exchange for pennies. Revolutionary.

Typical /biz/ brainlet. It is revolutionary. BAT enables publishers to charge microtransactions for content. No more credit cards, no more monthly subscriptions. News/opinion sites will become like iTunes, charging BAT for each article. But let me guess, you're another BTC/ETH/shitcoin maximalist who thinks Metamask will become viral and everyone and their mother will use archaic wallet systems that haven't been upgraded in years. The sign of a true brainlet.

It's revolutionary if you're 13 years old and don't know anything about actually doing business.

Companies will NEVER throw their subscription model under the bus in exchange for "micro-transactions" in BAT tokens. Do you realize how stupid you sound?

If you actually think that people using the internet want to pay a micro-transaction to access content on the internet, as opposed to seeing advertisements - you are a imbecile.

This is "Paid to Surf" 2.0 and it's a fucking joke. Furthermore - if it reaches any scale whatsoever, BAT/BRAVE will be on the receiving end of a massive class action that will include almost every media company.

How do you think website owners will respond when BAT/Brave attempts to hijack their revenue by injecting third party ads in place of the ads they themselves installed... or are they backing away from ad injection now that they received cease and desist?

Literally a Paid to Surf ad injection scam that is going to get lumped in as ADWARE because it modifies the source code of the pages it views to inject it's own bullshit. There are already dozens of companies with horrible reputations that do this already. They are called adware companies. 50onRed, TrafficVance, LeadImpact, Rapsio, Advertise.com - and about 100 more. I can't fucking wait until ads go live... it's going to be a shitstorm of disappointment.

I think the smartest play by Brave is that they want to integrate BAT in a way that hides any trace of "cryptocurrency".

If all goes as planned, Normies won't even know they're using a cryptocurrency. It'll just be a way for them to seamlessly donate to their favorite Youtuber or Twitch streamer or whatever, or use their internet points to pay for a pay-walled article, or other online transactions.

That is the genius of Brendan Eich. He's not just a goofy tech guy - he understands what Normies want out of their internet. He knows they don't want to be fucking around with wallets and codes and permanently losing currency they accidentally sent to the wrong address. He knows advertisers don't want to (directly) fuck with cryptocurrency whatsoever. He already foresaw all that and that's why Brave/BAT is genius.

Yeah, good stuff

So let's clear some things up for people who are confused:

>Current paradigm - people don't want to watch ads
>Also people don't want to pay for content

This means advertisers, publishers and websites lose because they have no way to monetize their product. Consumers lose because their favorite products aren't financially sustainable, and their data is harvested for free by corporations (facebook , google, etc...)

Enter Brave

Brave allows for consumers to be paid cryptocurrency in return for their attention (basically viewership statistics, data, etc). Websites win because they get a cut of ad revenue. Advertisers win because people are now actually viewing their ads because they have a financial incentive to do so (approx 25-50 cent per ad). Consumers win because they are making money, supporting publishers they actually like, and watching ads that are relevant to them. The brave browser is also pretty slick, it saves users time and money by blocking legacy ads and spyware.

Also, if people think normies wont eventually adopt Brave simply because they are tech illiterate, is retarded, because by that logic, everyone on Earth should still be using Netscape and Internet Explorer. Even fucking normies use Chrome and Firefox, and if Brave eventually deploys Chrome extensions, it's GG to traditional advertising.

It's funny to watch people who have no understanding of advertising speculate about bat/brave.

Here's a clue - Advertisers almost NEVER lose money. Most advertising is performance based. If an advertiser is going backwards, they will simply stop advertising. If enough advertisers can't make a profit - the cost of the ad inventory will drop and drop and drop until advertisers can back out at a profit. Simply put - not all content is valuable to advertisers, even if it is valuable to readers. Buying ads on a website about Mesothelioma would cost substantially more than buying ads on a website about the mating habits of ants. This problem is already solved by the existing advertising marketplace, which works on supply and demand, in an auction style system.

The fact that some of you are so delusional that you think a BROWSER is going to usurp Google Advertising, Bing Advertising, Native Advertising, Traditional CPM advertising - and a host of other long proven advertising methods - and that Google is just going to sit idly by while Brave blocks all of their ads.

Do you honestly think that Google would allow Brave to take over their strangle-hold on internet supremacy? Google could launch a fucking token micropayment system Chrome in the blink of an eye and then how much would a BAT token be worth?! And google wouldn't make it some cryptic fucking coin that normies don't understand, they would make it a stablecoin for their native currency. How retarded do you BAT maximalist fags look now?

Again - this highlights your lack of understanding about how ADVERTISERS are NOT LOSING MONEY. It just shrinks ad inventory, but it doesn't make them run at a LOSS. If an advertiser is losing money, the ad stops running. Why would they advertise at a loss? Why are you pretending to know more than you do?

>> No.12914451

Also, other thing people aren’t taking into account is BAT tracks viewing data and other marketing metrics that current ads are incapable of doing because they don’t leverage blockchain tech to record data flows.

>> No.12914457

>>12914419
You are implying that advertisers don't track every single impression of their ads. This is how utterly fucking stupid you bat maximalists are. do you really think the vast majority of advertising is people just paying a monthly fee to have their ads shown on a specific website? Holyshit. This is the company you bat retards are keeping. Advertisers know exactly how many people view click and purchase. We can see everything.

>> No.12914466

>>12914433
Hmm, might have a point there. But still, if adblockers reach critical mass, then no one is watching ads. This would present a problem to the advertising industry, even if they aren’t losing money per se. The ads need to be seen to be effective.

>> No.12914494

>>12914466
traditional advertising is changing in a big way, which is why you see more and more of a blend between content and advertising. Advertisers are already adapting to the changing landscape by applying new marketing techniques that blur the lines between what is content and what is marketing. This is the real paradigm shift, not tokenized payouts for content.

>> No.12914521

>>12914488
No, I do understand. But what I’m trying to get across to you is that, even if there is no loss on the part of the advertiser, the efficacy of the ad campaign is reduced by adblockers, and publishers are certainly hurt by adblockers removing their ad-revenue. What do you have to say about that. Advertisers are just on corner of the triangle. You have to consider the impact adblockers have on publishers and consumer too.

Just because they didn't understand the power of an internet based company having their data when FB first started doesn't mean we all don't get it now.

We grew up with data harvesting and hate it. Boomers are dying off in 10 years, so tell me, who's still going to willingly use FB if they keep this shit up? Another competitor can and will emerge and it will be built using the principles of Brave and the ecosystem it facilitates.
