sure you control everything
if you start spending though you might get questions
I bought 30k worth of gold and didn't get any questions used a few different names and addresses
but cashing out to a bank account especially 6 figures you pretty much have to pay taxes

>> No.12904625

I have both Trezor and Nano but I prefer Trezor. Trezor is opensource.

>> No.12904680

ledger has a new version coming out btw
i advocate getting a trezor and a ledger and splitting between the two...why put all your eggs in one manufacturer's basket?

how do you make sure your coins are ACTUALLY stored there? I believe it is just a scam. The coins go directly to the creators of the Ledger/Nano and the the wallet tricks you to actually believe your funds are in the wallet?

Trevor for BTC ETH and LTC. Ledger for the rest of the garbage if you feel like holding you shit coins which defeats the purpose of them. Your shit coins should be day traded for profits in ETH and BTC only.

you can't. do your own research and you'll come to the same conclusion though. ledger has a nice sleek form factor, but it requires you to install spyware on your device, since it sends back "usage data" to its servers without an opt out option. its also closed source. trezor at least doesn't have spyware bullshit, and open sources most of its code.

No, they are stored on the blockchains.
Make sure to lock your price you bought them at too in case of down Bart's so you don't lose money

The ledger only limits you to using 3 coins on the device at once even tho it does support many more once you use the computer wallet. The new ledger x seems less secure but supports more coins.

Trezor seems much more portable and has a better pin security methodology. Less coin support but is much easier to use with 3rd party wallets. I haven't tried the color screen Trezor so I cant comment on that.

And this.

Crypto must be 100% open-source. There must not be a point of failure like closed source wallets (ledger).

>> No.12905367

Trezor model T. it hasn't been exploited ever. both the ledger nano and the trezor one have been exploited, but all exploits have so far been patched with firmware updates.
