I made about $2m during 2014-2017 and cashed out about $1.5m
I still work in a job I enjoy, making about $100k a year which I'm not going to quit
I have an apartment I already paid for and literally have nothing to spend my money on besides restaurants and some clothes
I enjoyed the process of making money way more than the fact that now I have money and I also realized that making more money is literally useless
so I can buy a better home or buy a better car which would impress people that are the sort of people that you don't even want to impress (or otherwise make them resent you since they can't afford these sort of stuff)

what is the point of getting more money?
is it all just a scam?

Having financial freedom gives you the opportunity to seek fulfillment without the looming threat of poverty hanging over your head.

If you enjoy playing the markets then do it, but expand your experiences while doing so. You will be surprised at what you might end up doing or enjoying.

Congrats on selling the top, but 1.5m won't last forever if you want to live somewhere modern. Take the steps now to ensure your freedom no matter where you go.

Atleast you don't have to worry about a mortgage or bills. Probably is a scam.

I started consuming politics, economy, history, and tech related materials and expanded my horizons, which is what I enjoy now, and feel like I can just sit and listen to podcasts and read medium articles for as long as I can..
just need to find friends who enjoy the same sort of things..

You are already close to internalizing the belief that material objects are incapable of creating happiness for their owner. Finish that process and discard your meaningless accoutrements.

You have a single life, and your memories and experiences are what matter most. Not cars, computers, watches or clothes, though all of these things and more can allow you to go down a path to new experiences.

Enter the world and become a human, or waste this precious opportunity and burden yourself with a hoard of luxuries. It is up to you.

Also earn nearly 100k, I don't actually spend much money at all. You need to keep busy doing something you like or you'll go insane. Possessions are utterly meaningless and don't make you happy.

>memories are important
All they will do is make you feel melancholic and sentimental. They will die with you on your death just like you leave behind all material possesions.

Money is only meaningless when it is spent on positions. You have enough money now to truly build a life rich in EXPERIENCE. Always wanted to learn how to surf? Move to Sri Lanka for 6 months, buy a surf board and live by the beach, working in a hostel if you want some busy work. Want to climb everest? Move to the hills and take up mountain climbing; you have the money for the equipment and the sherpas and you also now have TIME. Want to learn Spanish? Go move to Colombia and fuck every gorgeous Colombian girl in site. When you're bored of all this, start a business or a charity, something to fill your day with challenge and meaning.

You are no longer limited by geography or time as you no longer have the necessity of wagecucking. Now you have a chance to cultivate yourself. Don't waste it.

And then you realize that the things you feel you're doing for their own sake, are in fact simply things that help you or your family or your species survive, and then you're back at square one and you become depressed again

Scientific research? so you can live longer, predict the future better to live longer
Creating a book or movie? to communicate things you have understood, so that others can make use of it to live better or longer
Becoming the best at some activity? so you can feel good about yourself, instinctively feel like others are not a threat and your survival is temporarily guaranteed

the whole of existence is a fucking scam

Valhalla is real, except its a high score reward once you unplug from the sim. We exist to entertain the gods, and we are in fact those gods that have descended to play our own game for the sake of entertaining our peers and competing in good faith.

Clownworld is the expansion to the game that has upped the stakes and risks associated with participating.

Yes the memories you make and experiences you have matter, because you will carry them will you back into your prime consciousness. You dont need to believe me. Honk honk :^)

If i were you OP

You need a physical activity (weight lifting, bodybuilding, strongman, cycling etc)

A creative activity, (Drawing, digital art, music production, instruments)

And then entertainment (Reading books, manga, films, videogame)

And lastly if you can keep this to rare occasions; drugs (dangerous if you have an abundance of money and time)

imo self improvement will keep you happy mentally and physically. When i dont work out i feel suicidal, when i have a good gym session, i feel amazing.

>> No.12893771

You are one of a trillion trillion independent consciousness that exist in the quantum foam. Total inhabitation of all of physical reality was achieved billions if years ago. All physical resources were consumed in the entire universe. Our simulation is one of billions and has a thousand times more viewers than players. The near infinite variety of possibly physical forms that can evolve and reach sentience allows for an organic, self developing sitcom of sorts that requires no director, but simply time before it starts getting weird.

Our reality has entered the Clownworld Timeline in response to increased viewership. Expose yourself to Clownworld Causality and you will reap the rewards not just in this run (your "life"), but fame and popularity and relevance in your true existence. The torture of being trapped in a bag of meat and calcium and digestive juces for 80~ years is a small price to pay for what you stand to gain if you can entertain even an infinitessimally small fraction of the sentient minds which linger in the void. Because, dear friends, everything that could ever be invented built or imagined has already happened. All that is left to us is comedy.
