For me, when I was younger, I used to think for humans to not be fully retarded. As in... I thought it was the circumstances = my limited environment. But as I grew older and my mind matured, I realized that all humans are idiots. Take feminism, for example. When I was a teen, I thought feminism = women having self-respect and fucking around less, since they don't see themselves as mere holes. But instead it means for them to be "sexually liberated," as feminists state "let's be holes, ladies" and encourage prostitution. Because being a prostitute is somehow "empowering" and lets them defy "muh patriarchy." Akin to how smoking was once seen as a form of "female empowerment". Then there are tons of pseudosciences and related propaganda being promoted by corporate lobbies and co. Mainstream media and even websites such as Wikipedia are full of (corporate) propaganda and manipulation. Etc. And in order to notice this manipulation over a longer amount of time, you really have to be ~25-30 years old. It's at that point that you realize how little you can trust your own governments, organizations such as the WHO/UN, news agencies, etc.

But then people generally say that you change a lot in your 20s. When I already fell in love with certain types of fictional characters when I was 14. And I already had my ideals laid out for me. Whereas the only thing that happened thereafter was me ridding myself of cognitive dissonances which have been planted within my mind by this manipulative society during my early childhood. Or may have been naturally present. As my spiritual self, reflectedly altered some facettes of the physical me it was born as. And I still have the same kind of affection for these very character types I had when I was 14. I really don't think I will drastically change my worldview, ever. Maybe it could change empathetically. And then I would pursue actions I would have always rejected in the past. But the /me/ itself would never do so egoistically.
