>interview at FAANG
>5/6 rounds go well, but 1st one I fuck up
>mfw got the call recently and knew I had been rejected just from the tone of the recruiter's voice

life sucks bros

These places are overrated shit. Look for an under the radar company in the same area that will pay you nearly the same while working and expecting of you half as much. If you got this far for a FAANG company your prospects are good elsewhere.

I make some good money but still only about 85% the TC I'd get at a FAANG and im new enough in my career that I want to be able to list one on my resume (even though you're right about them being overrated).

>> No.12862539

I decided like 3 months ago that I wanted to work at FAANG. All I fucking do is work anyway. I figure I'll interview in 3 to 5 years after I ensure I meet every last gd requirement.

I think I'm gonna apply again, or at least to more FAANGS. My DS/algo skills are rusty

I have a technical interview with a FAANG next month. Legitimately wondering why I’m going through with it since I know I will fail. At least you got to the onsite OP

>> No.12862967

>>12862774

it's just a numbers game and a matter of practice really. I know a dude who has failed, no joke, at least 10 FAANG on sites but recently got offers from two at the same time. he's done over 200 leetcode problems as well

Is it possible to get hired at one of these companies without a degree from an elite university?

>> No.12863033

>>12863018

yes, it actually makes almost no difference what school you went to or even if you have a degree. it's mostly if you can make it through the 10+ hours of combined phone + onsite grilling they give you.

I figured they wouldn't even look at your resume without an elite pedigree.

>> No.12863067

>>12863050

nah it's pretty easy to get an interview. they weed out a ton of people in the phone screens and invest a lot of money in the interview process. I've heard even the on site interviews only accept about 10% of the people who make it to that point at certain companies like google.

>> No.12863127

>>12863045
did you ask them why they only delete conservative fake news but do nothing when liberal fake news goes viral?

>> No.12863162

>>12863127

nah, i'm sure they keep the people with a hand in that to an absolute minimum to avoid the chance of leaks

>> No.12863186

This doesn't have to be deliberately planned out. They hire/operate in the Bay Area, the epicenter of liberal American thought, so most of their workforce at least leans left. Hire mostly people you know are hard lefties as your "curators" and they will do the rest with their own bias. Don't bother checking or validating their work on an ideological basis, it will naturally skew left.

It's the same way the media took on a solidly leftist tilt, it was just the natural bent of journalists living in Cali and New York.
