Is crypto still 99% of this board? I thought it would die down by now considering it's been ranging for a good few months now. When is this shit gonna get back to stocks, investing, RE, and the like? /biz/ really has been dead forever

After LINK hits 1k. Once the singularity has come and gone, and every anon is rich. Then they'll get bored and start talking about stocks again.

It's already back u nigger. when tone vays is still bearish after hitting bottom that's how you know we are going to make it. he'll be forced to be bullish in the next 6 months with what we have in plan.

It's going to be even more dead in 2020.

I've grown weary of sitting around and checking charts and price-move alerts. All breakouts and drops are so mediocre as to make the whole thing redundant and boring.

I'm not retarded - I know that $3k price moves in a week are not supposed to be normal or standard, but I think it's a given that that's what had the great majority of us interested in it during its peak and early momentum. Of course there are still people making huge gains on the daily, but that's a common feature of markets; always been the case with stocks so why not just pivot back to that?

Wow, a pajeet who isn't some metrosexual Manhattan yuppie on Twitter, has managed to become a voice in the crypto community. That's fuckin gold

this is bait because crypto predated this board and crypto has always been, and will continue to be, the best possible investment.

"when will this board go back to not being about crypto" easily outs you as a newfag, and is generally used as bait, but in this case i honestly think you're a newfag so i'm just letting you know.

sure, there are 95% drops, like when bitcoin dropped from $20 to $1, but it always recovers to a new ATH.

when people are saying crypto is dead, despite the tech getting better and better every year, you know it's the time to buy for 1000x gains.

as an aside, but ETH, not BTC. ETH has been leading the recovery, has the best tech, and even stuff like DPOS can be built on top of ETH as a side chain so there's really no point of having your own chain like EOS is doing.

As for private chains, paying the transaction fees for life is cheaper than paying a dev for a year, and you can still keep centralized control of your coin by building it on top of ETH by just writing your contract as such.

We are at peak opportunity cost for crypto and you want to buy stocks while they are at peak risk... lol

>> No.12848607

>>12848586
sorry, peak opportunity. a little drunk. also, ETH already has private transactions like XMR... just no front end for it yet.

So those private chains are complete trash and wanting to keep shit secret is no excuse

Why would a crypto board stop discussing crypto? Maybe you will fit better with the normies at /r/personalfinance

There will be no arguments against ETH in this thread except for misinformation regarding centralization and unlimited supply, both of which can be disproven with a 30 second google search but i know this board enough to know that no one will bother.

/biz/ was basically found just because /g/ wouldn't be full of crypto talk. It's OK to be new at least know the reason why this place you are new exists.

ETH scales the best out of all the coins and POS already exists the test net.

The amount of developers and scientists working on ETH is many factors higher than any other coin. We are getting VISA level scaling within 2 years.

The reason why it's taking so long is the devs want to do things right, and there isn't actually any centralized control despite the memes, so you have like 3 or 4 different client implementations (as apposed to bitcoin core lol) all trying to work together to get this done bug free.

so shit is on test net for like 6 months before release, to make absolutely sure no bugs, while scientists audit it

also one more thing, most people don't realize eth is getting sharding (the yellow paper is already released for that, so they design is known and works in theory) and already has pruning (you don't need to know every transaction ever, and really old ones aren't needed by validators)

there is this giant fucking ocean between ETH and everything else, making the whole "coin market cap" thing sort of silly.

in the end there really is only ETH as a viable, scalable blockchain. also, stuff like EOS might as well just be built on top of ETH, and it would be faster and cheaper by just doing it on L2 instead of having its own chain.

What is your opinion on chainlink? Do you think ETH and LINK is a good portfolio for long term holding?
