Is there any reasonable thing that can shoot down the price of Gold? I decided to buy a single Gold bullion and keep it just in case the world goes to absolute shit.

I don't know. You could always ask all of history.

Well, it pretty much shows that economic prosperity and stability lowers the price of gold since everyone tries to invest in business and production. Gold had huge upward spikes in price during the 70's oil crisis and the '08 financial crisis.

Yo bro the past economic performance of the last 3 decades is the most important thing, bro. Nothing that happened thousands of years before even matters, bro. If central banks print more fiat that will only drive the price of gold down, bro. Brooooooo FUCK gold.

i'm not into metals i think they are useless and should go but that statement is ridiculous. asteroid mining can only be thousand times more expensive than mining on earth on this technological level and for the foreseeable future. we will be filtering gold out of seawater and mine the seabeds before we turn to asteroid mining.

Dollar price of gold and silver do not matter. It was gold that gave the dollar its value, so why the fuck would you be valuing gold in terms of worthless paper dollars.

The entire fucking point of buying gold is because fiat is a scam and oh want wealth and money for when fiat collapses.

You "make it" with gold and silver when the fiat paradigm ends and a new currency rises. That's when a couple ounces of gold will buy you a home.

A gold ounce 900 years ago is still that same ounce of gold today. Doesn't matter if the dollar exists or not.

When you buy a stock you buy it for a completely different reason than you buy gold. Gold is just real savings and stocks you want to go up in fiat price

Gold is one of the few elements that is both solid and isn't reactive to other materials. It can be stored for thousands of years without degrading in quality. Meanwhile your shitcoin needs ASICs churning electricity in order to exist.
Gold also has many practical uses in electronics, chemistry, and medicine - giving it a hard minimum real world value.

No matter how much you hate fiat, people still get paid their salaries by fiat. So of course I would care about the fiat price of gold since that would tell me how much services I can get per oz.

Industrial use of gold is 7% retard. Hold is 93% speculation inflated. Gold is in a bubble. We barely scraped the earth's surface and already found this much gold. And for the 7% industrial use they will find better materials. Trust in technology and science.
