I suspect we will be seeing more and more 3rd party contributers to the Chainlink network. This is incredibly bullish.

There's no price movement because everyone who would buy has already bought. Companies aren't going to buy and hold large amounts of link before mainnet. They want to see a working production example. Then they'll buy in.

CLCG, Fiews, and Linkpool should collaborate. There's so much obvious overlap in terms of how they could help each other out.
Great to see the infrastructure start to come together... I'm signed up for everything

>> No.12822188

you know what? I'm reading through the site and realize, I can actually run a fucking node without having a steaming box in my room. Someone should make a livestream going through everything to setup a node. That would be so great.

>> No.12822190

Yeah but why link is now top 30 with the same price when it was page 2 of CMC ?

>> No.12822225

>>12820521
Companies are not going to buy Link, they are going to pay Chainlink in Fiat for services rendered, Chainlink will reward nodes completing those services in Link tokens. Nodes will then either hold Link or exchange for Fiat on an exchange. Link goes up in value as investors see the process is going to get adopted for use, more individuals jump at becoming nodes to earn passive income and acquire Link to get started building a portfolio. We are weeks away from an increase in speculation and months from node growth... A.year or more away from initial adoption and two to three from massive adoption. 24 months away from really making it, imo.

So as a single node operator... Whats the playbook? Aws/google cloud hosting
Fiewes eth connectivity
Clcg api connectivity

Be interesting to see what the cost benefit analysis is of that vs just letting Linkpool do it all. Anyone not a total brainlet like me also doing their own node have thoughts on this?

Linkpool doesn't do a lot of the things that Fiews and CLC do. That's why I think they're going to harmonize. Best practices looks something like this:

AWS
Fiews/Linkpool EaaS
Fiews free node adapter registry
CLC free (pay per charge, no subscriptions) adapter registry
CLC Nodary node registration/rep
Up to you if you want to use Linkpool to keep on top of stuff

What's so nice about this or a similar setup is that there's no overhead, except for what comes out of your node profits. If you pick the right services, it's pure passive income with no subscription costs. In some ways Fiews might actually be the odd man out here because they charge subscription

Insider here... The team had a big fight after Denver. Sergey tried to restore calm but there was nothing that could be done: Steve and Thomas have left the team after they couldn't agree on the next step. Thomas wants mainnet but Steve thinks they should wait until after psd2. Rory and the community leaders are in damage control deleting the posts made by exteam members. Adlyn refused Sergey marriage proposal so he kicked her out of the team. Also the increasing amount of developers is really just a smoke screen to cover up the recent issues.

The impatient who were never going to make it have sold. The rest are quite happy sat on their bags of win that they don't feel the need to jump on threads with good news. They know it's good already, and those who sold are too embarrassed that they held for a year and then sold as the market started making moves.
OP, thank you. We didn't mean to ignore you.
