this is just bad news for xrp, as was always known, that us-based stablecoins or private us-based companies trying to replace swift would never get acceptance when the banks hold all the cards.

it does show that chainlink doesn't really have a shot at true bank integration though, given how trivial it is for high-value data sources to simply provide their own trusted oracles, there is no reason for them to use any mainnet, especially one that only gets value from the apis it's able to connect to, i.e. there's no network effects in chainlink.
