How much would his net worth really be if he just market sold all of his AMZN shares? I remember figuring out his liquid net worth was something like 94% in AMZN shares, so as the price is tanking from selling these shares, what would he be left with? 20%? 30%? Then, what about after taxes?

Convince me that the Bezos meme isn't just concocted by Walmart aristocrats because they are afraid of him (Walmart is still way ahead of Amazon).

I unironically think they are exit scamming and trying to get out while it's at the top

His stake is about 16% of Amazon's shares, so it wouldn't totally tank the stock if he unloaded it all at once. The price would come down, but institutional investors would jump in pretty quick once the stock fell 5-10% for no real reason. Jeff's basis is probably very low, so he'd end up paying 20% long-term capital gains tax plus 3.8% net investment income tax on virtually the whole amount.

I would buy all in if it crashed. Amazon is unironically the future world monopoly, and lots of other people think so.

I think it could very well tank from panic selling and the provided momentum, but like the other anon said everyone would buy it up

Bezos owns around 75-80 million shares. Amazon's daily volume regularly surpasses 10 million shares. 80 million in a day would do a little damage, but there'd be no panic.

His percentage of total shares has nothing to do with how much is on the order books

Dont his shares have like super powers compared to normal pleb shares? Some rich saudi guy would probably buy them off him for a premium.

It's actually closer to 10 AMZN shares traded back and forth a million times by algorithms. Bezos fell for the hodl meme and now he can't cash out
