Yes.
I sell art on eBay. It works rather well so far (my family got rather rich off art).
However, marketing seems to add lots of value. Since I started marketing the art properly, our income increased by far.

I'm looking for some other ways to market/advertise art that are cost effective and provide a lot of value added.
