I'm trying to turn this into an actual living so i can have an easier time going through college as in having a more less big work load on me because my college is already paid for in full by my father. He hasn't given me any money. Hes played around with the idea of giving me 500 dollars and i take a small cut of whatever it makes and invest it for him but other than that hes just given me a place to live, food and a "death trap", of a car.

So another week draws to a close but our good friend T is still here with his fat Divvy to save us all while the market sinks left and right. Pay no attention to the stock price friends, long as that Fat Divvy is safe things will work out. So hold on to T and he will never let you down for 30 or 40 years shall pass and let those sweet Divvys pile up safe and sound. Turn of the Drip and pocket the payout. So sleep tight tonight my friends knowing our good friend T is watching our backs while others are gambling there lives away on falsehoods which will never pan out.

Selling iron condors, covered calls, synthetic covered calls, etc. for relatively conservative options positions. Maybe reinvest some of your earnings into more speculative options positions for the chance at a large profit.

Then something like QQQ and/or a number of high-quality, growth oriented stocks.

For dividends, individual preferred stocks from quality issuers and some dividend/dividend growth stocks like VZ, PG, CLX, etc. That cashflow is essential if you want to be able to take advantage of market dips. Otherwise you'll have to sell out of something--maybe at a loss--to buy into something else.

Alternatively you could just do options for growth + dividend/yield securities for relative stability.

It works all right, but you need to keep using it multiple times (like 5 or more) through out the day for it to work really well. I was wanting to see if one or two rinses with hydrogen peroxide would make that a little easier (in the morning and before bed).

I started investing in Canadian Tire for similar reason. They don't have good quality anything but they fill a niche here in Canada that Wally World and Home Depot do not. I thought about how i often i go to the Tire instead of either of the other two, realized it was often, checked chart and waited for an entry. Pretty comfy stock so far. Bullish since the 2018 low in December like most retail.

they were bad late january, but ive kind of missed a week or so lately because personal life

my theory is that when everyone is making money, even people who are making terrible choices, the average person gets overconfident, thinks hes the next warren buffet, and they begin tripfaging to enlighten the retarded masses of their good picks

and inevitably they feel pressure once the market starts correcting to maintain their image, so they become brash and shortsighted, and begin posting even more as their funds go down
you know the correction is officially about to happen when you end up getting two or three new tripfags a day is what i notived a couple times recently (fall drops, late december lows, ect)

/smg/ threads seem to be a great way to visually see and measure how overconfident a decent population sample of how overconfident small investors are, with an implied correlation to how overbought/oversold the general market in general is

just watch after the next big dip, tripfags drop like flys the first week or so after a big dip, similar to how they pop up during every massive market-wide rally

Last I checked the US wasn't invading Zimbabwe for hyper inflation, or Turkey for political oppression or Haiti for having so many people starve to death.

It's almost like this is about oil interests, the legacy of the Monroe doctrine and installing a client regime in Venezuela.

A lot of the "humanitarian aid" is already being used to smuggle weapons to opposition parties, meanwhile the resources that legitimately belong to Venezuela are being seized.

If you think this is a crisis you ain't seen nothing compared to what will happen when the US invades.

Just this week I read through the immigration FAQ for Pitcairn island. Not seriously considering this one. It's a little too remote even for me. The deal with Pitcairn is if you agree to move there, they will give you a plot of land for free to build your house on. There is internet, basic utilities, population: 40 people. Major snag is no airport and you can only have things delivered from outside via a cargo ship that comes twice a year. It takes roughly one week to travel to the place starting from any major airport.

>Oh yeah I'm incredibly intimate with all the bullshit they were trying to change. My job was to listen in to congressional hearings and create summaries, so I got a front row seat to all the whining. After trump came into office, although everyone knew the risks that were developing in the economy,
>all the economists on the federal payroll and bureaucrats know better than to say anything.
How old are you? You seem incredibly perceptive. I thought you were just some edgy college kid that likes antifa shit
>Our mission fundamentally changed. it's now how to deregulate while causing as little damage as possible.
Yeah. Isn't Trump trying to get rid of Dodd-Frank?

I'd prefer not to say so it's a not quite so easy to dox me, lord knows people have tried in the past.

ty. i think most antifia ppl are anarcho-liberals by and large, but at least they are just reacting to the circumstances we find ourselves in. I want to understand how capitalism and it's international finance system works on an intimate level. If we want to understand the real economic potentials we have, we need to understand where we're starting from, after all.

>Yeah. Isn't Trump trying to get rid of Dodd-Frank?
He is, though that's mostly taken a back seat with everything else going on. Now it's mostly up to people like Mnuchin and Otting. Powell and Williams are more ambivalent, though still on board for most of it.

I've probably dumped more than enough info on here to get doxx'd...
Can I at least know if you're over or under 35?

I'm surprised to hear that Powell is on board with it. Then again, Trump appointed him?

Under

The Fed was at least more permissive than the FDIC when it came to some capital requirements and regulations. The OCC was the most permissive and cavalier, and spearheaded a lot of the deregulation in step with the treasury department. The Fed were more willing to go along with whatever the Treasury department said than the FDIC, which is probably the most conservative of the three big regulators in terms of least willing to change their regulatory regime. Although, it didn't matter too much in the end, since almost no one asks the FDIC's opinion anyway.

Just be sure to familiarize yourself with the system you want to change to. The more I understood human nature the more I liked capitalism and the greater understanding I have for why things are as they are. Imperfect, but good.

The more you understand history, anon, the more you realize how contingent things are, even human nature.

Humanus economus hasn't been around for very long you know, in pre-industrial capitalism, the mercantlist writers noted that rising wages would often lead to higher unemployment. Do you know why? It was because in those days people didn't aspire to raise their ranks in society. Self interest genuinely did not govern the world. Once people got a little more than was necessary to reproduce their lot in life, they stopped working.

Human nature is not the one constant to measure society against, rather, this is the constant: a system that cannot reproduce itself will not last. Capitalism is loosing the ability to reproduce itself.
