Is chainlink a 'Stateless blockchain'?

Stateful Blockchain:
>multi-party verification of current state of a system by verifying all of it's state since inception

Chainlink:
>multi-party verification of current state of a single transaction.

Chainlink is middleware, not a blockchain

On the scale of abstraction this pondering operates, everything is middleware to some degree.

Chailink is just a JSON parser, not a middleware

i can do that in less than 24 hours of work

Transactions on the blockchain aren't all initiated by the system, so there's a definite cross-system element there.
You use a blockchain to facilitate something, which means that it is in the middle of something.
The difference lies in the fact that regular blockchain multi-party verification checks all states from the beginning of a system state entry log till the current state.
This can actually be bolted-on to Chainlink to have a blockchain that can forget, which is a pretty neat vision. Or is it stupid.
