The natural silver to gold ratio is 17:1. Since gold is $1300 that means silver price is limited to around $76 unless gold spikes a lot higher. That's a nice gain but crypto usually does better.

I believe if you buy coins then you are exempt. If you're in the UK buy britannias and if you are in the EU buy philharmonics.

Best coin? Can't you just buy the Australian Kookaburra? I mean even in Germany it was one of the cheapest coins to buy for me, I guess it would only be cheaper in Australia.

No not really, the benifit is numosmatic value(what collectors are looking for). You are hedging against an economic downturn but a good choice of coin can offer value even in good time to collectors, however, this usually means buying old bank minted stock that is rare and bank backed, so aussie and canadian coins have extra value because of low mint rates while maintaining stable economies. You will pay a premium for these though. I have several rolls of 1923 silver leafs which have value way outside of silver value but will drop down to just silver value in an economoc collapse.
Buying rare shit is a hedge against a hedge, they still grow in value when the price of silver drops but its too costly to make it viable.
Just stick to aussie bullion, imo.

That being said, if you can buy rare shit for close to spot price definitely go for that.

Silver doesn’t carry a monetary premium because it’s not being used to store value anymore. Congrats OP you got scammed.
