have you ever had dreams where some guy was telling you a funny joke and you laughed, or getting mind blown in the dream after some guy dropped some insights on certain topics that you're not really familiar with (i.e economics)?

It's weird because if your dreams are self-contained and influenced by your consciousness then there would be no way for my brain to generate economic insights or jokes in the first place. It's almost as if you are tuned in to someone else's consciousness somewhere else irl while you are sleeping, only to wake up immediately whenever you realise "hey im not supposed to know about this"

there was one specific dream a long time ago that struck out the most - everything was abnormally vivid and felt like you were in someone else's body. Had no control over anything and could only be the "passenger" like watching a VR movie.

What's going on here? Is this the first stage of schizophrenia? Is there a way for a person to tap into this phenomenon and ask for the price of link years from now?

yes. i unironically had some guy come into my dream and teach me about cyclic group exploits in elliptic curves even tho i literally had no idea what an elliptic curve even was before that dream. weird as shit.

he literally explained to me how ecc all works and how cyclic group exploits can be done on ed25519

Nigga, we're all connected as one in this life even if we seem separated. from bill gates to the average nigga in the hood we are one big dezentralized organism. It is like the pajeets say, all the minds will melt together in nirvana after dead, an when you are asleep it is a biz like being dead.

I have thought about this too. In my dreams sometimes I witness stuff that I am not intelligent or creative enough to have come up with myself. It definitely feels like my brain is tapped into something else. Sometimes my dreams are ridiculously entertaining, better than any Hollywood movie, and I try to go back to sleep to finish it. But when I try to write down the plot after I wake up, it disappears as I try to remember it, as if I never owned those thoughts to begin with. All I could remember was that it was entertaining.

The same amnesia happens on psychedelics. Nobody remembers what they were tripping about, just that they were tripping.

My favorite dreams are the ones where I hear the best fucking music ever written and listen to it in complete awe only for it to be a faded melody when I wake up.

There isn’t enough research being done on dreams.
