Do you have a portfolio? How much do you charge?

You're probably larping, and I didn't think I'd get this far. I don't think I'd ever post samples or a resume of any sort on /biz/, but I've got a going rate of 30 an hour, or agreed-upon target pricing.

>paying freelance copywriters per hour
Thought copywriters get paid by the word. Who would pay per hour remotely when you could be on 4chan for 30 minutes between paragraphs and bill the whole hour? Or take 10 minutes writing the first sentence.

How is asking a question a larp..?

I actually just grabbed a copy of the copywriters handbook earlier today. I'm self employed (trade tier) and want to diy some better ads for myself.

You really don't have a grasp on freelance work, anon.

So no samples or anything? At least you know your copy is good enough to make anons want to know more.

You are a moron if you think getting business from 4chan is a good idea.

You have a weird sales approach... You must kill it on upwork. I feel excluded from some select group of high status customers, and that only makes me want to give you more money! TAKE MY MONEY!

But I'm a design freelancer and I charge per the hour because of constant revisions and discussions. Majority of copywriters charge by the word and that's how magazines pay writers as well.

I also ran blogs back in the day. No way no how would I pay someone per hour if I needed 500 words, unless they told me it'd take, say, 2 hours + revisions.

You're talking about blog posts, anon. I do blog posts, and I'll charge by the word for those. Same with articles and anything of the sort.

Some projects are not clear-cut by word count. Anything beyond a clickbait article, like a user manual, an e-mail campaign, or anything similar, will either have an hourly rate or a fixed fee. This is an industry norm.

Makes sense, didn't think of user manuals and stuff when I read that post.
