Should I learn Chinese or Japanese?

Chinese is spoken by 10x more people in the world, but I've heard that there are more Japanese business men that come to the USA.

If I visit China it has cheaper hookers, but Japan has way more perverted sex clubs.

Doesn't mean there's no opportunities. Yes there's nothing really new (except in south east asia and Africa but being sent there is a prison sentence),
Yet people are dying, and they're more than willing to remplace them with foreigners (if they conform and come from a decent uni)

Work conditions are nothing like those in the west tho, especially if you're unlucky to work in big black companies like Rakuten or Konami

Learning Chinese puts you at a competitive disadvantage against a billion people, because you speak shittier than them, they'll screw you over because you're a foreigner, and they're just all round a shitty people to deal with.

You will always be an outsider with both groups, but at least there are first world comforts, silence and order in Japan. They're also rapidly dying off demographically and not a plague of locusts.

China is a paper tiger, they look like they're getting big and tough but most of it's smoke and mirrors and their large population will destroy itself out of competitive greed and anxiety.

Russia and India on the other hand are much more cohesive and homogeneous, they have a sort of ingrained nationalistic mindset (or Pro Country) that results in a concerted effort by the populace to strive towards greatness and superiority. China just doesn't have that, any illusion of widespread effort is just being forced by the communist government (think of it similar to North Korea) and will fall apart completely when met with serious resistance.

Anyway I'm rambling at this point, but bottom line is just disregard Chinese/Japanese and learn Russian or Hindi if you're thinking longterm (20+ years).
