Indices don't magically drop a stock if they stb. Most indices are rebalanced quarterly. So you'd be holding it until March at least. That's assuming the company in question was already at the bottom end of the index to begin with.
If your company was at the top, your etf may hold it for years.
In fact this is one of the arguments against ETFs, that they will hold a known bad company as long as it's part of the underlying index.

AMD is in the late cycle (meaning lower sales because they are always frontloaded near release) of their latest released processor lineups (apart from mobile to OEMS), GPUs and consoles.

Their one saving grace could be sales of Epyc server processors based on Zen 1, which they expected to take 5% marketshare with. Imo they were overly optimistic.

AMD posted pretty much neutral earnings results (slight revenue miss) and the buying and selling is crazy and it's hard to tell which way it's going to go from this point. spiked to 19.5-20.5 area at aftermarket start after a picosecond dip to the 18's (thank god, triggered the limit of my short before it spiked up to 20s) and going nuts.

Anyone got balls enough to touch AMD right now? I know I don't. Counting myself lucky and betting on TSLA action tomorrow.

LCI seemed to kinda bottom out after a 7.16% just today. Going to be interesting if it bounces tomorrow or crashes down further. It did break trend, and it broke it downwards. I'm sorry for anyone with long positions on LCI.
