BAT

the brave browser will become a household name in 2019 and 2020. this is an unironic post. do you have any idea of who brendan eich is, the team is, the connections and the development? dont be a fool. brave and bat is unironically the future.

Brave will get crypto in the hands of normies really easily. The next wave of casuals will never buy crypto no matter how much shilling. Free BAT on the back end of a fast privacy browser is a good move

Brave is one of thousands 'babbys first chromium' forks, with its only exceptional feature being a lie since you can't have a privacy oriented service built over a literal spyware. Low effort scam, more of a snake oil than a product.

Fuck the privacy implications (although they are vastly better than other mainstream browsers ATM) the idea behind the economy it is creating is viable as fuck. Think about how many problems it solves. Remember the Apocalypse on YouTube?

What if you didn't have to pay for HULU or some shit again because you enabled ads?

Hear about the Patreon controversy? This is another form of income for a lot of content creators.

Advertisers will have to buy it in order to advertise. It's going to get pumped to the sky when it goes live.

There are obviously better choices for privacy in the end, but this is more private and simple for the common-man to install. If Grandpa can use Chrome, Grandpa can use Brave...

It's based on Chromium, that's all I need to know.
>Code exclusively controlled by Google.
>Weird voodoo precompiled Google shit absolutely necessary for the browser to run even though nobody knows what it does (it's for codecs, trust us, were Google!).
It's spyware.

There is something about Brave/BAT Brave. The way Google and FB are under fire, the general public getting fed up with being spyed, YouTube and Patreon demonetizing users. It really seems like BAT is about to usher in Web 3.0

this is why i keep thinking this is the one, there is so much damn fud though i just dont know plus it tanks like a mother fucker and pretty much under performed everything in the 2017 rush

>> No.12584885

stop shilling BAT here, you're just making people think it's another LINK/HOT/TRTL piece of shit. BAT will have its day just chill and accumulate in the meantime

What if I told you that the whole point of Brave is privacy, and that Brave has confirmed many, many times that it has an entire team whose job it is to take out all Google related middleware and redesign Chromium to be privacy focused, hence the forked browser Brave? Here's another little secret: you can literally go to their GitHub and confirm all of this for yourself, so long as you're not a brainlet with the IQ of a bug!

>>12584885
BAT is so rarely posted about and when it is, it gets relentlessly shit on by absolute retards. It's fun to have a thread every once in a while just to talk about what "could be." Anyways once 1.0 and Ads roll out things should get interesting.

I think for BAT to really take off there needs to be a combination of a few things: 1) BatAds need to go "viral" so advertisers are clamoring to get their own campaigns going (that'll be money in the bank for BAT, should see a pump if ever that happens); 2) need Brave to go viral, like big time increases in User numbers (could happen from Brave 1.0 release or some very bad Chrome news) and finally 3) we need fucking meme YouTubers like PewdiePie or Anthony Fantano or whoever to wrap their peabrains around BAT and realize how important it could be to hop on this early, as content producers
